Brussels based international PR professional with vast experience in European Affairs and EU institutional communication. The press relations manager for the Brussels office of Publicis Consultants for more than 10 years, Virginia worked in communication for various services of the European Commission, including those responsible for research and innovation, enterprise and industry and EU enlargement. Started her career at the Bulgarian National Television and then worked in the Audiovisual Service of the European Commission. Experienced in public communication, Virginia was In charge of PR campaigns at the European Chemicals Agency in Helsinki and for the Brussels hub for the EU-China Managers Exchange Programme. Currently managing communication for research an innovation at the the European Chemical Industry Council which is the largest industry association in Brussels. Public speaker, facilitator and trainer, member of the selection panel for the Descartes Science Communication Awards of the European Commission. M.A. degrees in journalism from Sofia University St. Kl. Ohridski and in European Public Administration from the College of Europe, Bruges.
